Blizzard has launched a Zerg section on its StarCraft 2 website. So far only two units are given an overview, the Hydralisk and Mutalisk. There is a general overview of the Zerg race and each of the two units have detailed information about each creature’s abilities. Read more…

MMOs have become one of the fastest growing game niches and everyone has heard the stories about how popular Blizzard’s “World of Warcraft” is with its 10 million players. But the dark side of MMO playing is shown in “Second Skin”, a documentary that looks at MMO addiction and the serious impact it has on someone’s real life. An interesting rumor has appeared in a GameSpy article where the site’s editors make predictions about what will be announced in 2008 based on rumors they have heard. Jocelyn lives in California had been married to her hubby for three years when she gave him a copy of the game in December 2004. Nine months later her marriage had been destroyed by the MMO. Blizzard has announced plans for its first-ever “World of Warcraft” worldwide tournament with over $200,000 worth of cash to be given away to the game’s top players. The competition will begin in April and be coordinated through a series of regional qualifying rounds that will last for six weeks. At the end of the qualifiers the top four teams will advance to the regional finals for the chance to win $27,000 in cash. Read more…
